Мнемоника: at (точка •) → on (линия/поверхность —) → in (объём □). Чем больше «пространства», тем больше предлог.

Предлоги не используются с: this, next, last, every, yesterday, tomorrow: I'll see you next Monday (не «on next Monday»).
